Who we are

Rod Paton, D.Phil is a versatile musician, singer, composer and published author with many decades of experience facilitating groups and leading musical activities. Prior to retirement in 2017 he worked as a university teacher for many years, specialising in music education, community music, improvisation, cultural renewal and music therapy. He is the founder of the Lifemusic Method which lies at the heart of ‘artbeat Brecon.

Hedda Kaphengst is an actor, singer, guitarist and group leader and the founder/director of Klawitter, an award winning company which provides interactive performances and concerts in care homes. Although German by birth, Hedda has been based in the Irish Republic for the past two decades from where she has developed a successful programme of activities for older people. She now divides her time equally between Brecon and Bray.
